Introduction:
A/S Bryggeriet Vestfyen is a proud and independent brewer of beer since 1885. All in all, for over 130 years.
Though their name may seemingly denote a small and local enterprise, they are actually Denmark's fourth-largest brewery. Today they produce beer and soft drinks, marketed in a variety of bottles and in cans, for own brands as for private labels.
The sole energy source is CO2 neutral biofuel. They are first movers within the Danisch brewery industry.
Description of the problem:
One of their old kettle rooms needed renovation after decades of general wear and tear. This has severely discoloured the walls.
Proposed solution:
Zinsser Bulls-Eye 1-2-3 PLUS was chosen for it’s superior adhesion and opacity, even on top of badly coloured surfaces.
Procedure:
As it would not be possible to remove all sod and dirt, the walls were only wiped clean before Zinsser Bulls-Eye 1-2-3 PLUS was applied and even after a single coat, covered the years of grime and returned bright white walls! With a short overcoating time of 1 hour, the project was finished within a single day, minimising down-time for this busy brewery.
