Thanks to the Zinsser Hero programme, you too reap the benefits of that expert know-how and support. Rob: "If, as a Zinsser Hero, you have a question, you can contact us directly. We answer general questions about substrates and the use of our products, but we also give advice on concrete projects. We help you before, during and even after an assignment."

The variety of questions Rob and his colleagues receive is also reflected in the examples he cites: "These range from 'Can I use Zinsser Cover Stain on a wall with moisture stains?' to 'My client doesn't want me to use a solvent-based primer, what alternatives do I have?' to 'For my next job I would like to use spray equipment, what do you recommend?'

"By becoming a Zinsser Hero, you will be the first to know about all the latest news: about the Zinsser brand, about our products, about the application of our products, and so on. So you can keep your knowledge up to date in a simple but targeted way."

You can use the contact form on our website, send us a WhatsApp message or reach us by phone through our customer service department. There you can leave your question for a callback request, or you will be connected directly. If necessary, we also come on site to do an analysis or work together to see how we can eliminate a painting obstacle."

[Translate to Belgium / Nederlands:] The golden tip? Being prepared!

[Translate to Belgium / Nederlands:]

Thanks to his long track record, Rob now has a razor-sharp understanding of the problems that painters often encounter, and fortunately the corresponding solutions. "If problems arise after the last layer of paint has been applied, such as discolouration or detachment, people often blame it on the last layer of paint," he gives as an example. "Unjustified, because in almost all cases, the problem lies with the substrate."

Rob's most important tip to painters is therefore to conduct thorough, preliminary research before preparing a quote or accepting a paint job. "Ask questions of the client and go on site if you can. Scratch the surface to be painted with a breaker knife. If necessary, use a moisture meter to determine how moist the substrate is. Based on that information, you can then choose the most suitable Zinsser product from our wide range. In addition, such a preparatory visit also creates confidence with the client," Rob says.
